Manhunt 2 News | Manhunt 2 Play.com Deal of the Day

Online retailer PLAY are currently selling the Nintendo Wii version of Manhunt 2 for £9.99 (GBP) in their “Deal of the Day”, which is about one third the recommended retail price.

While the website is UK based they do ship to other European countries (click here for a full list). Judging by the amount of emails we have had from people in European territories I am guessing it is fare to say that more than a few people have had problems coming across a PAL copy of Manhunt 2; this seems like the perfect opportunity to acquire the game.

Keep in mind that the Nintendo Wii is not region free, so if ordering make sure that your console is PAL format.

Manhunt 2 News | IGN's 13 Scariest Games of This Generation
IGN have published an article they have titled the “13 Scariest Games of This Generation” although, admittedly, the term “this generation” is used rather loosely.

Regardless, Manhunt 2 (although it uses an image of the original game) made it as the 11th “scariest game of this generation”. According to them it is scary because:

Manhunt 2 is scary because it's disturbing. Very disturbing.
This is a game where your character must kill others using ordinary, everyday objects, and the more gruesome the death the better. You can strangulate someone with a plastic bag, or bludgeon them to death with a bat. Often, you must sneak up to your victim in order to surprise them. The entire game is set in an urban ghetto, giving the entire game a feeling of being something like a horror movie. Needless to say, Manhunt 2 is not for the squeamish or the faint of heart.

The complete list breaks down as follows:

01. Condemned: Criminal Origins
02. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl
03. Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth
04. Penumbra: Black Plague
05. F.E.A.R.
06. Siren: Blood Curse
07. Dead Space
08. BioShock
09. Resident Evil 4
10. Condemned 2: Bloodshot
11. Manhunt 2
12. Clive Barker's Jericho
13. Gears of War
